This role is responsible for translating corporate objectives into clear, compelling, and consistent messaging for customers, technology partners, employees, government stakeholders, and the broader marketplace. Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams (including Sales, Technology, Partner Enablement, Business Operations, and OEM partners), the Director drives integrated marketing and communications strategies that enhance brand awareness, deepen partner and customer engagement, support pipeline development, and positions FRC for continued success across federal, state and local government, higher education, commercial, and emerging technology markets.
Primary Responsibilities
Corporate Marketing Brand
Own and continuously strengthen FRC’s corporate brand, messaging, positioning, and voice
Ensure consistent presentation of the FRC brand across digital channels, presentations, events, collateral, advertising, partner activities, and corporate communications
Translate complex technology and public-sector concepts into compelling, accessible messaging for customers, partners, employees, and external stakeholders
Corporate Communications and Public Relations
Lead FRC’s corporate communications strategy, including press releases, announcements, executive communications, media relations, social media, thought leadership, community engagement, and other external communications
Develop executive content and communications that position FRC and its leadership as credible voices in cybersecurity, AI, data, government technology, workforce development, and related markets
Content and Digital Marketing
Develop and manage FRC’s content strategy across website, social media, email, digital campaigns, customer communications, thought leadership, video, and other channels
Establish a consistent content calendar aligned with corporate priorities, OEM initiatives, events, contract vehicles, customer markets, and sales campaigns
Use analytics to measure engagement and continuously improve content performance
Sales and Partner Marketing
Work closely with Sales and Partner Management to develop campaigns and materials supporting FRC’s strategic technology partners and customer opportunities
Develop customer-facing presentations, solution messaging, campaign content, case studies, partner materials, and other sales-enablement resources
Help translate OEM technology messaging into an FRC value proposition rather than simply repeating manufacturer messaging
Events and Field Marketing
Support the strategy, messaging, promotion, content, and execution surrounding FRC conferences, trade shows, customer events, partner events, webinars, executive engagements, and the Erie Summit
Work with Sales and Partner Enablement to establish clear objectives for major events and ensure appropriate pre-event promotion and post-event follow up
Measure event performance based on customer engagement, partner value, pipeline influence, and business outcomes rather than simply measuring by attendance
Public Sector Communications
Develop communications tailored to FRC’s Federal, SLED, and other public-sector audiences
Work with internal subject-matter experts to develop relevant content around cybersecurity, Zero Trust, AI, data, governance and risk, workforce development, and emerging technologies
Support communications surrounding contract vehicles, strategic wins, partnerships, corporate milestones, and customer success
Community and Corporate Reputation
Strengthen FRC’s visibility in Erie and other strategic markets while connecting the company’s local economic-development story with its national public-sector technology mission
Support community relations, government relation communications, workforce initiatives, sponsorships, and other corporate reputation programs
Marketing Operations and Measurement
Establish measurable KPIs for corporate marketing and communications
Track areas such as digital engagement, campaign performance, earned media, social engagement, event performance, OEM marketing activity, marketing-influenced opportunities, website traffic, content utilization, and brand visibility
Develop regular reporting to senior leadership showing what FRC is investing in marketing and what those investments are producing
Team and Cross-Functional Leadership
The Director will collaborate closely with the broader FRC marketing organization and shared marketing resources
Lead projects across departments without creating unnecessary organizational silos
