Position Summary
The Corporate Communications Lead is a creative, strategic, and highly organized professional who will oversee and elevate internal and external communications across our growing global organization. This person will build and deliver clear, engaging, and consistent communication strategies that strengthen employee engagement, organizational alignment, and company culture. They will also manage company social media to strengthen internal connectivity and external brand presence.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator who balances strategy with execution, manages multiple priorities, and creates messaging that resonates with diverse, global audiences. This key role sits within the Marketing Department and partners closely with leadership, Human Resources, Operations, and cross-functional teams to deliver timely, professional, and impactful communication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Communications
- Develop and execute internal and external communication strategies aligned with Apollo's priorities, culture, and growth.
- Own companywide communications, including leadership updates, announcements, newsletters, and organizational initiatives.
- Translate complex business topics into clear, actionable messages, and set consistent standards and tone across Apollo.
Executive Communications
- Draft leadership announcements, speeches, presentations, talking points, and business updates.
- Partner with leadership on messaging for strategic initiatives, organizational changes, milestones, and major announcements, reinforcing Apollo's mission, values, and The Apollo Way™.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Use storytelling to strengthen engagement and culture, highlighting employees, teams, project successes, milestones, and achievements.
- Strengthen two-way communication across corporate, field, and global teams.
Change & Organizational Communications
- Develop and execute communication plans for organizational changes, new programs, policies, processes, and initiatives.
- Anticipate communication needs and help leaders share timely, accurate, and transparent information with clarity and consistency.
Social Media & Brand
- Manage Apollo's corporate social media and external content, showcasing our people, projects, capabilities, culture, recruiting, and growth.
- Maintain a consistent, professional, and authentic brand, using engagement metrics to improve content and strategy.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Operations
- Partner with HR, Recruiting, Operations, Corporate Development, and leadership on communication priorities.
- Manage internal platforms, including the intranet, Teams, SharePoint, and newsletters, and build the calendars, templates, and standards needed for a scalable function.
- Travel to project sites as needed to engage employees, gather stories, and strengthen corporate–field communication.
- Measure effectiveness through engagement metrics and employee feedback and recommend improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, HR, English, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4–7 years in internal, corporate, employee, or organizational communications, or PR.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, including executive-level materials.
- Experience communicating organizational change.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities at a fast pace.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), Teams, and SharePoint.
- Detail-oriented, with excellent editing and proofreading skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in engineering, construction, technology, consulting, or professional services organizations.
- Experience partnering with executive leadership, including presentations, video scripts, and town halls.
- Knowledge of employee engagement and culture strategies.
- Familiarity with intranets, content management systems, and visual tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience measuring communication effectiveness through analytics and employee feedback.
