Want to get hands-on experience writing, creating, and sharing stories that matter? Join ISO New England’s Corporate Communications team and help craft internal and external content, and gain experience producing multimedia elements such as data visualizations.

This internship is perfect for students who love writing and visual communication and want to see how storytelling drives impact in a large organization. You’ll gain real-world experience in content creation and communication strategy while learning how a major regional organization keeps 15 million people informed and engaged.

About the Department

The Corporate Communications team is responsible for keeping employees, the media, and the public informed about ISO New England news and initiatives. The team builds awareness of ISO’s role, manages key publications, and oversees the company’s intranet, public website, and social media channels.

What You’ll Be Working On

As a Corporate Communications Intern, you will:

• Support corporate communication functions at ISO New England, including promotion of the summer internship program through content that may include internal articles, photography, video, and social media.
• Contribute to content development for ISO New England publications and associated collateral, as well as web content.
• Assist in the production of multimedia content and communications materials that support internal and external audiences.
• Gain exposure to the planning, coordination, and management of communication initiatives.

How Will You Make an Impact

You’ll play a hands-on role in shaping how ISO New England communicates with employees, the media, and the public. Your writing and contributions to multimedia projects will help keep employees informed, build awareness of ISO’s mission, and strengthen engagement across key audiences. While you gain valuable experience in professional communications, we gain fresh ideas, creativity, and new approaches that strengthen our messaging and outreach.

The expected hourly range for this position is $19-$36 per hour, depending on your year in college. Interns are eligible for some paid time off benefits and have access to our wellness program. Our internships also provide interns with exposure to the energy industry, mentorships, and real-world experience.

This is a U.S. based role. If the successful candidate resides outside of the U.S., relocation will be required.
