Your Future Team
Hightower's Operations team supports Advisory teams through the creation, maintenance, and amendments of Client Agreements and custodian maintenance.
Reporting to the Executive Director of FI Trading, you will play a pivotal role in executing and managing complex trading strategies, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with various colleagues to optimize trading performance at Hightower. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of capital markets, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record in executing successful trades across multiple asset classes.
What You’ll Do
Trade Execution and Management
- Execute and manage trades across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange, while adhering to pre-established risk management and compliance guidelines
- Utilize trading platforms, order management systems, and other relevant technologies to execute trades efficiently and effectively
Risk Management and Compliance
- Monitor and manage trading positions to ensure compliance with risk limits and regulatory requirements.
- Implement risk mitigation techniques, such as hedging and stop-loss orders
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive trade records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory frameworks
Market Analysis and Strategy Development
- Conduct in-depth analysis of market conditions, trends, and economic indicators to identify trading opportunities and mitigate potential risks
- Collaborate with senior traders and portfolio managers to develop and refine trading strategies, incorporating quantitative models, technical analysis, and fundamental research
Performance Monitoring and Improvement
- Monitor and evaluate trading performance and profitability, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate measures to enhance overall results
Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, counterparties, and internal stakeholders to optimize trading execution and access to liquidity
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including research analysts, risk managers, compliance officers, and operations professionals, to facilitate seamless trade execution and resolve any issues that may arise
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in capital markets trading, with a strong track record of executing successful trades across multiple asset classes
- Extensive knowledge of financial instruments, trading strategies, market structure, and regulatory frameworks governing capital markets
- Proficiency in using trading platforms, order management systems, and related technologies.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and the ability to implement risk mitigation strategies
- Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging market trends, actively participating in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills

- Base salary of $90,000-$105,000 plus discretionary bonus (exact base salary amount will be dependent on experience)
