Opportunity:
SurgeU is looking for an Investor Relations Director to manage investor relationships and provide high-quality administrative and communications support to prospective and existing investors. This is a high-trust investor relations role focused on clear communication, accurate information, and exceptional service.
You will respond to investor inquiries by providing only factual information contained in approved offering materials, coordinating approved communications, and supporting administrative onboarding. This role does not involve soliciting investments, recommending securities, negotiating terms, or closing securities transactions.
All duties must be performed within company policies and applicable securities laws.
Responsibilities:
- Managing investor relations communications and administrative support consistent with approved offering materials and company procedures.
- Providing factual information contained in approved offering materials with clarity and complete accuracy, without recommending or promoting an investment.
- Responding to inbound investor inquiries and coordinating appropriate follow-up.
- Using approved scripts and materials to provide consistent, factual information to investors.
- Responding to investor-initiated questions and follow-up requests so inquiries are addressed promptly.
- Coordinating with Operations and Legal/Compliance on administrative onboarding after an investor has independently decided to proceed.
- Onboarding new investors with a genuine WOW factor: smooth, informative, and unhurried.
- Answering factual and administrative questions and providing approved information as needed; escalating legal, tax, suitability, or investment-advice questions to the appropriate person.
- Helping design and execute compliance-approved investor relationship and education events that do not involve securities sales activity.
- Maintaining the investor database for prospective and current investors and accurately tracking communications, service requests, and onboarding status in the CRM.
- Coordinating administrative records and communications relating to completed subscriptions, transfers, redemptions, and distributions as directed by Legal/Compliance or Operations.
- Collecting and routing investor eligibility, accreditation, and KYC documentation in accordance with offering requirements and company procedures, without making eligibility or suitability determinations.
- Following all company policies, procedures, approved scripts, and applicable securities laws and regulations.
- Coordinating with Marketing, Legal/Compliance, and Operations so investor onboarding is seamless.
- Ensuring all investor communications are accurate, factual, supportable, and consistent with approved offering documents.
- Not soliciting investments, recommending securities, negotiating offering terms, discussing the merits of an investment, accepting investment orders or funds, closing securities transactions, or otherwise engaging in broker-dealer activities.
- Compensation for this role will not be based directly or indirectly on the amount, size, or completion of securities transactions.
- Identifying moments where marketing, enrollment, or investor communications may be creating conflicting expectations, and flagging them.
- Staying current on approved offering materials, investor communication procedures, and applicable company compliance requirements.
- Collaborating with team members to achieve common goals and optimize team performance.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in investor relations, financial services operations, client relationship management, or investor servicing.
- A demonstrable record of strong relationship management, communication, and disciplined follow-through.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain factual information clearly without making investment recommendations.
- Exceptional phone presence and written communication.
- Comfort working with accredited and high-net-worth individuals in a professional, service-oriented, non-advisory capacity.
- Working familiarity with investor onboarding, accreditation documentation, and KYC-style administrative processes, or the aptitude and willingness to learn them quickly.
- Understanding of the distinction between investor relations support and securities sales activities, with the judgment to escalate questions or requests that fall outside the scope of this role.
- Basic CRM and technology proficiency.
- Demonstrate meticulous follow-throughs.
- High integrity, coachability, and drive. An enthusiastic mindset with a servant's posture.
- Resilience and professionalism in a high-volume investor-relations environment.
- Strong editorial judgment around claims, substantiation, and factual accuracy in a regulated context.
- Genuine alignment with our mission, our faith, and the people we serve.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, communications, or a related field is a plus.
- Able to work full time, in person, at our Palmetto, FL headquarters.
Job Benefits:
- Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Holiday, and Paid Time Off.
- Non-corporate, casual, entrepreneurial, comfortable, fun, and proactive work environment.
- High-level performers, disciplined, and self-motivated people will do very well in this environment.
