Opportunity:
SurgeU is looking for an Investor Relations Associate to serve as the front door of our investor experience. You are the first point of contact for individuals who request information about our investment offerings. You will provide approved factual information, respond to general administrative questions, and help route inquiries to the appropriate team member.
This is an investor service and relationship-support role. We are looking for quality, accuracy, and timeliness of your communications and handoffs. Every scheduled meeting should be well organized, with the individual receiving the approved information needed to understand the purpose of the meeting.
You are also the connective tissue of the department. The follow-up that gets returned, the record that is accurate, the document that arrives before it is asked for, and the investor who never wonders whether they were forgotten. That work is not clerical. It helps ensure a responsive, organized, and consistent investor experience.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for individuals who request information about company investment offerings through marketing channels and annual live events.
- Respond to inbound inquiries by phone, email, and text.
- Conduct follow-up calls only to individuals who have requested information, using approved scripts and materials.
- Provide professional, responsive service and establish trust through accurate and timely communication.
- Collect basic contact, accreditation/eligibility, and administrative information using approved forms and scripts, without evaluating suitability or making recommendations.
- Follow up on pending administrative requests and previously requested information.
- Escalate all questions about investment merits, terms, suitability, strategy, or investment-specific matters to Legal/Compliance or other authorized personnel.
- Schedule requested meetings with appropriate authorized team members and manage calendars based on availability and administrative needs.
- Prepare prospects for their scheduled meetings by confirming appointments and sending reminders.
- Provide appropriate team members with relevant administrative and contact details.
- Follow up with cancellations and no-shows solely for administrative rescheduling when requested.
- Maintain accurate and complete CRM records including documented contact information, notes, status, and next steps.
- Manage follow-up tasks and communication queues.
- Assist with administrative paperwork and document collection, without recommending or negotiating any investment terms.
- Provide ministerial administrative support for subscriptions, transfers, redemptions, and distributions, without accepting investment decisions, funds, or securities or effecting transactions.
- Maintain accurate records for prospective and current investors.
- Support investor events, including administrative coordination, registration, and approved follow-up communications.
- Track inquiry volume, response times, appointment show rates, service levels, and other non-transactional activity metrics.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Legal/Compliance, and Operations to maintain brand standards.
- Maintain knowledge of company offerings and approved talking points solely to provide approved factual information, while following company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Do not solicit or recommend investments, provide investment advice, negotiate offering terms, discuss the merits of an investment, accept investment orders or funds, or close or effect securities transactions.
- Compensation for this role will not be based directly or indirectly on the amount, value, number, or completion of securities transactions or capital raised.
- Support team goals and process improvements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in customer service, investor/client relations, appointment coordination, administrative support, or another high-volume phone-based role.
- Exceptional phone presence accompanies by strong written communication. You are warm, clear, confident, and easy to trust within the first thirty seconds.
- Outstanding organization and follow-through. Details, notes, and commitments do not slip.
- Comfort communicating professionally with accredited and high-net-worth individuals.
- The discipline to stay within approved factual talking points and escalate investment-related questions rather than improvise.
- Basic CRM and technology proficiency.
- Resilience, grit, coachability, and a team-first posture matter in this role.
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, finance, or a related field is a plus.
Job Benefits:
- Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Holiday, and Paid Time Off.
- Non-corporate, casual, entrepreneurial, comfortable, fun, and proactive work environment.
- High-level performers, disciplined, and self-motivated people will do very well in this environment.
